About the YES
The Young Europeans’ Seminar (YES) is a unique annual event. It is offered to European exchange students participating in the YFU exchange program within Europe. The YES 2010 is awaiting more than 400 participants representing over 20 nationalities! Together with around 100 volunteers they will gather for four days at a beautiful campsite near Berlin at the border of Lake Werbellin.
The seminar consists of different workshops, plenary as well as group sessions, many free time activities and a huge parliament simulation.
The YES aims at promoting the discussion of current European issues in several ways based on the recent exchange experience of the participants. In 2010 this topic is “Footprints. Our Responsibility as Global Citizens”.
The YES provides you, as a YFU program participant, with an interesting and educational activity that enhances your exchange experience and encourages you to understand yourself as a young European with responsibilities and opportunities in a changing interdependent world. In addition, the event wants to point out that finishing your exchange year or semester is definitely not the end of your exchange experience! It can be the starting point of a learning process in the fascinating field of intercultural understanding, democratic involvement and social responsibility!
