Head of Community

Build the YFU Spirit in the hearts of our volunteers and participants

The YES brings together people from all over the world and it’s the perfect place to foster a sense of community within YFU. A lot of this happens organically, but we want to do more. That’s why the Head of Community will be in charge of building the YFU Spirit in the hearts of our volunteers and participants. The Head of Community ensures volunteers are motivated, leads the Spirit Activities Coordinators and Lounge Coordinators, facilitates both prep meetings and all-volunteer meetings, and coordinates the community-related parts of the plenaries, together with the Spirit Activities Coordinators. The Head of Community is usually in charge of the Common Activity, although responsibility for it may be shared with the Head of Content, depending on the decisions made within the Leadership Team. You will also be in charge of the YES Volunteer BBQ that will take place on the last day with all volunteers, with the support of the Lounge & Spirit Activities Coordinators.

For this role we need volunteers with strong community building and leadership experience, because they’re going to have to create opportunities for the participants to get to know each other, as well as to organize activities where both participants and volunteers can come together.

The Head of Logistics, the Head of Content and the YES Project Coordinator will be by your side, composing the Leadership Team.

We need you to have the ability to motivate people to take part in activities, the know-how of the world of YES energisers and good vibes.
