Spirit Coordinators
Energize, engage and keep up the #YFUSpirit at the YES!
The YES brings together hundreds of people from around the world. It’s a perfect opportunity to foster a sense of community by sparking that unmistakable YFU spirit. While much of this happens naturally, we always need to help that a little by taking it to the next level. That’s why we need a dedicated Community Team. They are the ones who help make the magic happen. This team, led by the Head of Community, includes two Lounge Coordinators and two Spirit Coordinators (previously known as Community Coordinators).
As a Spirit Coordinator, you will structure and coordinate Free-Time Activities (FTAs) during the YES. For each activity, you’ll be able to recruit helpers from the entire YES volunteer team. FTAs can be anything from sports and comedy to arts, mindfulness, and many more. Through these activities, you’ll help create spaces where participants and volunteers connect, recharge, and have fun together.
We’re looking for two volunteers with experience in community building and a natural talent for energizing groups. As Spirit Coordinators, you’ll be creating opportunities for participants and volunteers to connect, bond, and have fun together. You shouldn’t be afraid to take the lead, step in front of the crowd, and do something a little goofy.
You will work closely with the YES Head of Community – Kinga. Your other close collaborators include: Hosts - Simone and Danila, Head of Logistics - Ieva, and Operations Coordinators - Hilde and Lorenzo.
There will be dedicated spaces in the schedule for community-building activities, such as team-building activities, YES dance bootcamp, FTAs. Beyond that, we hope you’ll bring the YFU spirit wherever you go — think flash mobs at lunch, an energizer before the Plenary, or any wild idea you think will bring people together.
If you're vibrant, outgoing, and ready to spread YFU vibes like confetti — this role is for you.
Please note that completing the Volunteer Feedback Form after YES 2026 is a requirement for every volunteer role. Your feedback helps us improve and create an even better experience next year.
About your role

overflow with positive energy and YFU spirit,
know tons of games, energisers, and ice-breakers,
feel comfortable hyping up a room, jumping on stage, or telling a goofy joke into a mic.
be spontaneous, creative, and not afraid to try something bold,
improvise with ease and keep the energy flowing, even when plans change.
