Travel Coordinators
Oversee a smooth travel experience for all the students and volunteers
In a nutshell, the two Travel Coordinators are responsible for ensuring students’ smooth travels to the event.
In addition to the general volunteer requirements at the YES, you should:
Be able to organize, plan, and manage multiple tasks at the same time, and work under pressure.
Be prepared to dedicate at least a couple of hours a week for the YES starting in March 2026.
Have good problem-solving skills.
Be able to balance being strict and polite at the same time.
At least one Travel Coordinator needs to have a good command of German.
Since there are two Travel Coordinators, the two of you will make all necessary arrangements and share the workload before, during and after the seminar. You will work closely with the YES Head of Logistics, Ieva Dirvonskaite.
About your role
Overseeing the booking of international travels (you will not need to book the tickets, since this is done by the Member Organisations - only provide precise instructions and answer questions).
Working with the YES Database, namely adding all arrival and departure travels there as well as assigning students and IGLs to shuttle buses.
Arrange local transportation between Berlin and Werbellinsee.
Communicate with YFU Member Organisations ensuring that the travel process is as smooth as possible.
Assist other volunteers with planning their local connections between Berlin and the YES site.
