IGL Coordinators
Ensure solid team communication and proper training for our IGLs
Your role will be to oversee the International Group Leaders at the YES. You will be responsible for ensuring that IGLs have a sound understanding of their role and responsibilities at the YES, and that there is good and functioning communication in the team.
In addition to the general volunteer requirements at the YES, you should:
Have been at the YES before, ideally as an IGL (exceptions can be made if you are able to prove you bring other skills to this position).
Have basic knowledge in designing and implementing e-learning content or are willing to learn and work on this topic.
Have experience in leading international teams, coordinating operations online and offline, conducting meetings, organizing small activities for volunteers and creating team spirit.
Be able to coach other volunteers, identify their potential and weak points, suggest improvements, and assess educational outcomes.
Have experience with preparing educational activities.
About your role
Negotiate with National Member Organizations for the selection of IGLs, in coordination with the Project Coordinator.
Take care of the information flow with the selected IGLs prior to the seminar.
Make sure IGLs understand their role and prepare manuals for them (to be sent out in May 2026).
Work with the Head of Content on the development and implementation of a training course for the IGL team, which will potentially include an e-learning component. The content of the course may depend on future funding requirements. It is important to coordinate with the Project Coordinator regarding any such requirements.
Ensure IGLs receive the contact of their students prior to the YES and coordinate with the Travel Coordinators to instruct them on arrival and departure days.
Organise at least one online meeting with the IGLs before the YES, including at least a welcome session and practical information about what to expect.
Support the IGLs in designing their sessions.
Lead daily meetings for the IGLs at the YES and answer questions they might have.
Coordinate the information flow with the rest of the core team.
Working with the YES Database
